Launched in 2005, TMZ’s  meteoric rise followed its exclusive on two of the biggest stories in  entertainment: Mel Gibson's DUI arrest and subsequent encounter with law  enforcement, and Michael Richards' ill-fated trip to the Laugh Factory.  TMZ also broke the news of the breakup of Britney Spears and Kevin  Federline's marriage.

TMZ altered the entertainment news  landscape by changing the way the public gets its news. Frequently  referenced by various media, TMZ is one of the most-cited entertainment  news sources, utilized by national network and local newsgathering  organizations across the country.

In 2006, Time magazine named TMZ one of the coolest websites. Newsweek named TMZ the “Breakout Blog of 2007.”

• Harvey Levin, Executive Producer
  Harvey founded TMZ in 2005 and has been the Executive Producer of TMZ.com ever since.  Harvey has been a lawyer, a law professor, a radio personality, a columnist for the L.A. Times and an investigative reporter for the NBC and CBS affiliates in Los Angeles.  He has won nine Emmy awards, and has received numerous other journalism awards.
• Charles Latibeaudiere, Executive Producer
  Charles is Executive Producer and Managing Editor of TMZ and TMZ.com.  He’s been with the company since the 2007 launch of TMZ on TV. For the record, he does love pina coladas, but hates getting caught in the rain.
• Michael Babcock, Executive Producer TMZ Sports
  Michael is the Executive Producer of TMZ Sports. He oversees TMZSports.com and co-hosts the TMZ Sports TV show on FS1. Babcock also contributes to TMZ on TV and TMZ Live TV shows. He’s worked for TMZ Sports since 2013. Babcock studied at Seton Hall University in NJ.

• Brad Appleton
  Brad is the News Director for TMZ.com. Brad joined TMZ in 2011 as an intern, and has worked his way up the TMZ.com news desk ever since. Brad holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

• Fabian Garcia
  Fabian is a producer for TMZ.com. Fabian joined TMZ in 2016. He holds a BA in Journalism, obtained at California State University, Sacramento.

• Dennis Broad
  Dennis is the Senior Investigative Producer for TMZ, and one of its first employees. Dennis has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. Dennis has also had a career as a licensed Private Investigator. In his free time Dennis likes to try to play guitar.

• Jennifer Delgado
  Jenn Delgado is a Senior News Producer, covering court-related stories.  Jenn has a B.A. and J.D. from the University of La Verne, and has worked in legal news since 2008. She enjoys the Dodgers, Broadway, poetry, iced lattes, dogs, cats, and is embarrassingly obsessed with Dateline and 90 Day Fiancé.
• James Eckhardt Jr.
  Jim is a Senior Producer for TMZ. After graduating from Scripps College at Ohio University with a BA in Video Production, Jim went on to work in local news in Birmingham, Alabama before moving to L.A.. He produces video and digital content across all of TMZ’s sites and social media platforms, as well as daily producing with field producers. On the weekends you can catch him on a hiking trail somewhere in SoCal.
• Brendon Geoffrion
  Brendon is a senior news producer at TMZ. He began his professional career with an internship at Boston radio station WROR and moved to Los Angeles at 19-years-old where he took a role at CBS Radio. He joined TMZ in 2013 before working at Entertainment Tonight for 4 years. He returned to TMZ in May 2020.
• Edward Lewis
  Edward is a Senior Producer for TMZSports.com. Edward joined the TMZ team in 2018 after covering the NFL, the Pac-12, and UCLA sports for years. Edward holds a BA in Journalism from San Diego State University and is a slightly above-average beach volleyball player and a well-below-average golfer.
• Charlie Neff
  Charlie is a Senior News Reporter for TMZ. Charlie has reported for the news desk since 2013 and also appears on both TMZ TV and TMZ Live. Charlie holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of La Verne.  On her time off, she loves traveling the world and cuddling with her cats Pretzel and Miss Kitty.
• Deven Rall
  Deven is a Senior News Reporter for TMZ.com.  Deven joined TMZ as a PA for TMZ Sports in 2015. He has reported for the news desk since 2016 and also appears on both TMZ TV and TMZ Live. Deven holds a BA in Journalism from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at San Jose State University.
• Jamie Schram
  Jamie is a Senior Producer for TMZ.com in the New York Office. Jamie joined TMZ in 2017 with a focus on law enforcement and courts, but he also reports on celebrity news. Jamie began his career at the New York Post, where he spent 24 years as a reporter and police bureau chief. He also worked the federal beat in NYC and Washington D.C, while also covering the United Nations.
• Lucas Widman
  Lucas is a Senior News Producer for TMZ Sports from Sandusky, Ohio. Lucas joined TMZ in 2015 as an intern and has worked on the TMZ Sports desk ever since. Lucas has a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in partying from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and is a devoted Justin Bieber, Cleveland sports, Blackpink and Cedar Point fan.
• Jacob Wasserman
  Jacob is a Senior News Producer for TMZ. Jacob joined the news desk in 2019, after graduating from Tulane University. He is a contributor on both 'TMZ on TV' and 'TMZ Live.' Prior to TMZ, Jacob worked in local news in New Orleans.

• Loren Boyd
  Loren is News Producer for tmz.com who joined TMZ as a tour guide in 2016. Loren holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Delaware State University and prides herself on being an HBCU grad from the East Coast now in LA fashionably navigating her way through the Mainstream Media world.
• Austin Laymance
  Austin is a producer for TMZ.com. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Laymance started his career at MLB.com and covered baseball for 7 years before moving to TMZ. Austin's also had bylines in the Boston Globe, Houston Chronicle, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and South Florida Sun Sentinel.

  Jacob Stern is a Senior Web Editor for TMZ.com and TMZSports.com. Jacob started at TMZ as an intern in the Digital department in 2017, and joined the Web Edit team in 2018 after graduating from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Radio/Television/Film and a B.S. in Sociology.

  Tanner joined the TMZ.com team as a Logger in 2020 and soon after transitioned into a Web Editing position in 2021. Tanner earned a BA in Digital Storytelling from the University of Missouri.
• Christopher Jackson
  Chris is a Web Editor for TMZ. Chris joined TMZ in 2019 as a logger and soon joined the news desk as an editor, where he’s been ever since. Chris has a BA in Studio Arts with a Multimedia emphasis from Loyola Marymount University. In his free time, Chris’ hobbies include creating music, programming and gaming with friends.

  Alex is the Art Director of TMZ, where he has worked for the past 11 years. He lead the Webart Team that works on the TMZ news desk, and helps develop and maintain the TMZ brand and look. Alex has a B.A. in Graphic Design, and UX Design.

  Web graphic designer for TMZ since fall of 2018. Previous experience designing in the music and skateboard industry. Enjoys listening to Ratt and loves to Rock n Roll All Nite.

  Roger is a Senior Producer for TMZ. Originally from El Paso, TX, Roger joined TMZ in 2016. Roger holds a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas, and a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University.

  Nikki McGrew is a senior clearance producer for TMZ. Nikki joined TMZ in 2013 as an intern. Nikki has worn many hats at TMZ over the years and is now the supervisor of the clearance team. In her free time, Nikki loves to cook and bake new recipes!

  Riley is a Clearance Producer for TMZ.com. Riley joined TMZ in 2018 as a Production Assistant and has worked on the news desk in Research and Clearance. Riley has a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.

  Patrick is a Clips/Clearance Producer for TMZ.com. Patrick joined TMZ as an AP back in 2016 and has worked with the clearance department ever since. Patrick has a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

  Michael R. Amormino is a Senior Court Producer for TMZ.com. Michael joined the TMZ staff in 2008 as a Court Researcher and works with the legal department producing court-related stories. Michael is a native to Southern California and enjoys traveling, writing, and cooking.

  Priscilla is a Senior Court Producer for TMZ.com. Priscilla joined TMZ in 2007 as a Court PA and has worked on the court staff ever since. Priscilla holds a MA in Broadcast Journalism from the USC Annenberg School of Journalism.
